Vladimir Bezdek

Chairman of the Board and Managing Director, AVANT Investment Company

Ing. Vladimír Bezděk M.A. is a Czech economist, since August 2010 CEO of Generali Slovakia. He served as Chairman of the Bezděk Commission and is currently a member of NERV. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and the University of Manchester in England. Since 1997 he has worked at the Institute of Economics of the CNB. He later became a fiscal policy analyst and adviser to the Bank Board. Since 2003 he has been a manager in the area of fiscal policy. He has also been Managing Director at Aegon Insurance Company and Chairman of the Government’s Advisory Body on Pension Reform. He also worked with Transparency International Czech Republic.

Baurzhan Ibraev

Chairman of the supervisory board

Baurzhan Ibraev joined Prevalet SICAV in 2021 becoming the chairman of the supervisory board and the chief advisor for all areas concerning management and marketing of mining projects, technical aspects of uranium mining and processing and the nuclear fuel cycle. Over the years of his extensive career Mr. Ibraev has managed several of NAC Kazatomprom’s uranium mining projects and production sites in Kazakhstan, eventually becoming the director of the “Department of production and nuclear fuel cycle” of NAC Kazatomprom in 2015 – 2020. Mr. Ibraev holds a PhD in physics and mathematics and is an academician of the National Academy of Natural sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Martin Kadlec

Member of Supervisory Board

Martin Kadlec has 20 years of experience in different positions in investment companies, last 15 years as investment manager with experience in development and investment projects in Central and Eastern Europe. Last 5 years focused on mining projects, in key positions of project management and executive management.

David Urbanec

Member of Investment Committee

David Urbanec started his professional career in 2000 in one of the first private law firms in Prague and was partner from 2006 to 2008. One of his main responsibilities is litigation. He has extensive experience in this field arising from representation of banks, financial institutions, investment groups and commercial companies in many cases where the value exceeded hundreds of millions Czech Crowns. His expertise in the judicial agenda comprises both litigation at general courts including the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic and the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, and litigation at special courts including the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic and the European Court of Human Rights. David Urbanec specializes in financial law encompassing legal advisory in various forms of financing transactions including project finance, investment and operational financing, syndicated credits, as well as alternative types of financing such as factoring or tolling.

Iakov Adamovski

Member of Investment Committee

Iakov Adamovskiy graduated with a BA from McGill University and an MBA from ESADE Business & Law school. He has previous international management experience in the fields of real estate and technology. Knowledgeable of risk management and financial modelling through his extensive investment experience in the fields of mining, oil & gas, real estate development and infrastructure.

Alfred Brunclik

Member of Supervisory Board

Alfred Brunclik has 20 years of experience in different positions in investment companies, last 15 years as investment manager with experience in development and investment projects in Central and Eastern Europe. Last 5 years focused on mining projects, in key positions of project management and executive management. + 30 years experience in senior management of construction companies, with focus on underground construction (mines, tunnels and underground transport infrastructure). Key positions in large investment projects on the territory of Russia and CIS countries.
